For
On-Call Commercial & Industrial
Energy Management Consulting Services
The City of Seattle, Seattle City Light Department ("SCL"),
requests qualifications from qualified consulting firms for On-Call
Energy Management Consulting Services for SCL’s Energy Management Services
Division.
The scope, cost, and timing of the specific assignment will be defined
in detail in an "Authorization for Professional Service," which
is referenced in the Request for Qualifications (RFQ), for each assignment
issued after a contract has been executed. The range of consulting services
required by the contract may include any of the following services:
- Energy Management Technical Expertise
- Energy Management Field Services
- Energy Management Program Support

Minimum Qualifications:
Respondents should be experienced in providing Commercial and Industrial
technical, field, and/or program support functions, and have or be willing
to establish a local office within the Seattle metropolitan area for delivery
of services.
The term of the contract shall extend from the date of execution by the
Superintendent of Seattle City Light, or designee, through December 2006.
The final scope of work and level of effort will be determined through
contract negotiations and implemented by specific task orders. The amount
of compensation will be determined at the time of contract negotiations, and
will be conditioned upon satisfactory performance, continued appropriation
authority, and a determination by SCL to proceed. The contract may be
extended for up to two additional years in one-year increments.
SCL’s current budget allocation for the services listed in the RFQ is
approximately $150,000 for 2004. The City may at its’ option, amend the
contract(s) for additional time, funding, and scope subject to continued
appropriation authority of the Seattle City Council
SCL will work with the prospective consultant to identify a budget and
not-to-exceed amounts for each task before it is assigned.
