For
Integrated Resource Plan
The City of Seattle, Seattle City Light Department ("SCL"), seeks to engage a consultant to provide consulting services to develop a portfolio analysis model for its Integrated Resource Plan (IRP).
SCL is seeking qualified firms to provide a portfolio model and associated services that will allow the utility to screen and evaluate alternative resource portfolios within the framework of its fundamental goals for resource planning. City Light wishes to purchase the rights to use the portfolio model during this IRP process and for future IRPs.
The prospective consultant shall be available to work at Seattle City Light offices and will train selected City Light staff to use the model.
Qualifications at a minimum shall include:
- Technical and operational capability to complete the scope of work
- Relevant experience of the firm in similar projects
- Ability to develop a model that fits Seattle City Light's requirements
- Ability to develop a model that is easy to use and enhance
- Availability to work with Seattle City Light staff on site

In 2005, Seattle City Light has total budget authority of $299,000 for consultant services for the Integrated Resource Plan project. Only a portion of this amount will be available for this contract. We anticipate additional budget authority in 2006.
