Project Summary
Now open to visitors, the Bradner Gardens Community Building is located within Bradner Gardens Park, located between Bradner Place S. and 29th Avenue S., near S. Massachusetts Street, south of the I-90 lid. Friends of Bradner Gardens Park, supporters, and City officials dedicated the new building on the Autumnal Equinox, September 23, 2003, a beautiful sunny afternoon. During the celebration, the solar array, installed earlier in the month by volunteers, produced electricity that fed into the city's power grid.

The Community Building project won a Citation Award for architectural design at the 52nd annual AIA Seattle Honor Awards program on November 10, 2003 after a panel of critical observers reviewed some 150 entries from Washington design professionals.
