Conservation: Your dollars Conservation: LaundryWise Program
Due to better energy codes now in place, Seattle City Light no longer provides LaundryWise rebates for coin-operated commercial clothes washers.

Please visit www.savingwater.org for LaundryWise rebates offered by Seattle Public Utilities and its member water districts. You can download an application and a list of qualifying coin-operated commercial clothes washers.

If you're looking for in-unit clothes washers, please visit our WashWise pages.

Installing Resource Efficient Clothes Washers (RECW’s) makes good financial sense for most multifamily building owners whose properties have common area laundry rooms. Typically, RECW’s consume 40% less water and 60% less energy than old-fashioned toploaders. This means significant savings on utility bills. In Seattle we estimate the average cash savings per washing machine amount to more than $150 per year.

RECW’s also make for good tenant satisfaction because they simply do a better job of washing clothing. They wash clothes more gently. They wash clothes cleaner, and they do it while using much less detergent. Experience tells us that tenants really appreciate the benefits to them.
