The second of two groups which comprised the Y2K Embedded Systems Committee. They were pulled from their normal jobs and charged with creating a team that would meet serious challenges with a non-flexible deadline. Each member performed a significant role in ensuring the generation, distribution; control and facilities systems were Y2K ready. They had to think of every possibility and develop contingency plans for each one – all with no historical projects to use as a model. Although the Committee was hastily assembled from diverse work areas, their cooperation, communication, skill and hard work set the standard for Y2K preparedness.
