This team was responsible for upgrading the City Light Energy Management System (EMS) to meet Y2K requirements. With an extremely tight schedule, this team tested, remediated and upgraded the EMS network and all EMS servers, workstations, and printers. Without their extraordinary commitment and sacrifice, this system, critical to the control of the entire City Light generation and distribution network, would not have been Y2K ready. Not only was the roll over into the year 2000 seamless, but the entire EMS system has been refurbished or replaced with better, faster, more responsive hardware, software, servers and network. The system is now designed and implemented for the future in large part because of the efforts of these employees.
