“What a team!” This is the comment from many when asked about Junko Whitaker and Dena Peel. As Neighborhood Account Executives, Dena and Junko coordinated City Light’s involvement in Seattle’s neighborhood planning process. Over the course of the last year, they coordinated the reviewed and commented on a total of 38 neighborhood plans and framed the associated Utility policy issues. In addition to establishing an internal team, Junko and Dena prepared a transition memo for the Superintendent, identifying neighborhood planning issues that impact City Light, and developed associated policy recommendations. Additionally, Dena and Junko developed a series of Citizen Guides to be more responsive to the interests and needs of neighborhood groups. The positive engagement and thoughtful way in which Junko and Dena handled this effort are examples of the excellent Customer Service City Light is so well know for.
