The Office of the City Clerk supports open government and the democratic process by preserving and maximizing public access to the City's official and historical records, promoting City-wide compliance with records retention law, and facilitating the legislative process.


Online Information Services
The SEARCH database system contains information on the content and status of legislation before the City Council as well as over 100 years of historical data, the full text of the City Charter and the Municipal Code, and the Municipal Archives Guide.

Seattle City Council Significant Vote Log
Summarizes and provides City Council votes on legislation of significant public interest.

Seattle Municipal Archives
Identifies and preserves historically valuable City records and arranges and describes those records to maximize their research usefulness and accessibility.
