Community Crime Prevention and Juvenile Justice Initiatives

Safe neighborhoods mean a safe city. Seattle’s community crime prevention and juvenile justice initiatives focus on reducing youth violence and gang activity, primarily in southeast and southwest Seattle.

The South Park Initiative provides comprehensive prevention, intervention and drug treatment services for South Park youth and, when appropriate, their families.

Weed & Seed builds relationships between neighborhood residents and police, reduces youth involvement in gang activities, and encourages community revitalization.
