Information and Assistance for Ethnic Communities
The City of Seattle funds a number of organizations in Seattle to provide linguistically and culturally appropriate information and assistance to ethnic communities.
2007 Funded Agencies and Programs
- The African American Elders Program, 206-328-5639, provides information and assistance and case management services for African American elders in central and south Seattle.
- Asian Counseling and Referral Services, 206-695-7600, serves Asian, Pacific Islander and Russian clients.
- The Chinese Information and Service Center, 206-624-5633, serves Chinese elders.
- Latino Information and Assistance, 206-764-4700, is a program of SeaMar Community Health Centers and serves Spanish-speaking elders.
- Neighborhood House, 206-461-4522, serves East African, Southeast Asian and other low-income residents of south Seattle, Tukwila and White Center.
- The Pike Market Senior Center, 206-728-2773, serves residents of downtown Seattle and homeless seniors.
