For Sexual Assault Survivors and their Family and FriendsAs part of our effort to make this community a safe haven from all forms of abuse, the City of Seattle supports a number of programs in collaboration with our community partners. The City of Seattle has been funding sexual assault victim services since the mid-1970s. Our current programs emphasize information, referral and crisis intervention services, a 24-hour crisis line, legal advocacy, and community mobilization for specific populations. More than 2,000 women and children survivors of sexual assault receive assistance through these programs every year.
