For AbusersIf you have been abusive to a family member or partner and want to stop your behavior, there are programs in our community to help you. Visit any of the following agencies to learn more about their services: These programs primarily work with abusers who are court ordered to attend the programs, but will also serve those who voluntarily enroll. City of Seattle General Funds have been used to contract with nonprofit, community-based organizations to provide treatment to batterers since 1995. Contracting is determined through a competitive process that is conducted by the Human Services Department at least once every four years. Funding depends upon program performance and funding availability. The current four-year cycle ends in 2012. The 2012 allocation (City of Seattle General Funds) for batterer intervention services is $148,650.
