Community Development Block Grant Programs

Office of Economic Development Programs

The Seattle Office of Economic Development uses Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds to supplement its efforts to create a vibrant economy and promote economic opportunity for all of Seattle’s diverse residents.

Specifically, this office uses CDBG funds to:

  • provide technical assistance and financial support to local community development corporations for specific development projects;

  • CDBG funds provide loans to small businesses serving LMI neighborhoods

  • provide CD financing: affordable housing to commercial businesses and nonprofits in support of the SE Seattle Neighborhood Revitalization Strategy Area (NRSA)

For more information, visit the Office of Economic Development Web site.
