Community Development Block Grant Programs

Office of Economic Development Programs

The Seattle Office of Economic Development uses Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds to supplement its efforts to create a vibrant economy and promote economic opportunity for all of Seattle’s diverse residents.

Specifically, this office uses CDBG funds to:

  • provide technical assistance and financial support to local community development corporations for specific development projects;

  • help businesses located along the Martin Luther King Jr. Way corridor survive the disruption caused by construction of Sound Transit’s Link Light Rail system; and

  • help those businesses develop and thrive after Sound Transit’s construction is completed.

For more information, visit the Office of Economic Development web site.
