NutritionChildren need nutritious meals to grow strong and healthy, do well in school and lead active lives. The City of Seattle’s nutrition programs for children are:
The Child Care Nutrition Program helps child care providers plan for and provide nourishing meals to children in their care and the Summer Food Service Program provides breakfast, lunch and snacks to thousands of Seattle children each summer. The HEAL project is helping early learning and after-school providers increase the availability of healthy foods and children’s physical activity. |
