Suggestions for Seattle OnHold

Music Rights and licensing

The City has blanket agreements with ASCAP and BMI for the legal use of music. We also require written consent from the artists before featuring their work.

Music sales

When you link to CD Baby, iTunes and Amazon from Seattle OnHold and buy something, a portion of your sale (7% up to $1/CD sold) goes to the city of Seattle to advance arts education. The artist’s share of the sale is not touched. There is no cost for these retail partnerships and artists are not required to use these retailers.

Seattle OnHold is hosted by the Seattle Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs and the Department of Information Technology.
