Affordable Housing Opportunity in Uptown

Background: On February 12, 2018 the City Council passed Council Bill 119186 transferring jurisdiction of property located at 607 2nd Avenue North (commonly known as the "K Site") from Seattle Center to the Office of Housing (OH) to use for affordable housing development. Now, the Office of Housing is working with the Office of Arts & Culture to engage community members and stakeholders in creating a development that will maximize affordable housing outcomes and create opportunities for arts and cultural uses in a future development.

NEW - Request for Proposals (June 27, 2018)

The Office of Housing invites qualified housing developers to submit proposals for developing affordable rental housing and arts and cultural space on City property located at 607 Second Avenue North.  The RFP describes City requirements and priorities for affordable housing, arts and cultural space and labor equity, and offers capital funding in addition to discounted property to support the development. Final proposals are due Wednesday, August 29 at noon.

A Question and Answer session will be held at the following time and place:

  • Time: Wednesday, July 11, 2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
  • Location: City Hall, 600 4th Avenue, Boards and Commissions Room (L280)
