Helping Link's Sweet Sixteen!
Come Join Us!
Press Release
Helping Link is turning 16 and throwing a spectacular benefit to celebrate.
On Saturday, August 22, from 6-8 p.m., Helping Link will host a fabulous networking event to benefit its many programs and services that assist Seattle’s Vietnamese community.
The event will be held at a private home on Lake Washington—5,000+ square feet of gracious living decorated with fine Asian and modern art. The home features a spacious patio with a lakeside bar, and a waterfront view through three-story glass windows. Included in the event are a silent auction, Vietnamese language lessons (with a twist!), a cooking class (spring rolls, taught by Saigon Bistro), and boat rides on Lake Washington. Lily Jang of Q13 Fox News will M.C. the evening, and Thach Nguyen, a prominent figure in the Seattle business community, is one of the guest speakers.
This event is generously supported by Dorsey & Whitney LLP, International Examiner, Northwest Asian Weekly, Northwest Vietnamese News, Seattle Viet Times, Vietnamese Today Weekly News, and YMCA. The benefit begins at 6:00 p.m. with appetizers—generously provided by Saigon Bistro—including flash-fired tofu with tamarind sauce, duck confit rolled in rice paper with organic baby spinach and plum, cubed New York steak sautéed in house magi sauce, and a fish canapé-fresh snapper ceviche. Beverages will be provided by Red Hook brewery and several wineries. Dessert trays from local bakeries will top off your evening.
Tickets ($75) are on sale now at http://www.seattle.gov/helpinglink. All proceeds go directly to Helping Link. For additional information about Helping Link’s Sweet Sixteen event, or sponsorship opportunities, please contact us at HelpingLinkEvent@gmail.com or 206-781-4246.
