President Bonnie Miller called the meeting to order at 7:30 PM.

Boy Scout Troop #186 presented the Flag.  President Miller welcomed the trustees and guests.

 

Nominations/Election of Board Officers and Trustees

 

The 2005-06 slate of community council officers and trustees was presented to the general membership as follows:

                Dorothy Neville, Vice President

                Shelley Hartnett, Secretary

                Carolyn Chapman, Treasurer

Trustees:

Vance Thompson      Magdel Tobel         Margaret Thouless   Suzanne Uchida

 

The HHCC general membership voted on and unanimously approved the slate of officers and trustees for 2005-2006.

 

The following presentation were made:

 

   Peter Steinbrueck, City Council member

                Smart Growth/Green in Seattle; Seattle is leader nationwide in green buildings; land use codes;

   Fire Chief Gregory Dean

                Neighborhood Safety Concerns

  Richard Conlin, City Council member

                Widening SR 520; maintaining roads and bridges, Alaskan Way viaduct, monorail.

                A question and answer period followed each presentation.

Membership HHCC/Newsletter

                This spring the HHCC approved an increase in membership dues; the first since 1950’s.  Th annual membership fee is $25.00 per family and $15.00 for seniors, effective April 1, 2005

 

After reviewing contest submissions, the HHCC newsletter will be called, “Hawthorne Hills Holler”, issued four times a year.

 

The next quarterly trustees’ meeting will held Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at 7:30 PM in building #30, Magnuson Park.

All meetings are open to the public.
