December 2010

12/15, 6200 blk Vassar Ave NE: The victim was gone all day, when she returned she saw that an unlocked laundry room window was wide open and the house was rifled, jewelry, cash and collectible coins were among the items stolen.

12/29, 6000 blk 52nd NE: This house is a rental and currently unoccupied, the owner stopped by to do some work and found that a back sliding door was open, there was no sign of forced entry, the only things missing were some antique doorknobs.

September 2010

9/17, 4900 blk Stanford Ave NE. Officers were dispatched to an alarm activation at this home, a basement door, which was no connected to the alarm system was kicked in, the burglar set off the alarm on the main floor and was able to steal a laptop computer on his way out.
