Seattle Parks Foundation Welcomes the Christmas Ship
to South Lake Union Park

Everyone is invited to join the Seattle Parks Foundation for an exciting evening at the South Lake Union Park Armory as we celebrate the future of South Lake Union Park and welcome the Christmas Ship to Seattle.

Seeing the Christmas Ship has been a holiday tradition in Seattle for over 50 years! This year, the ship will kick-off its holiday tour of Seattle parks with its first ever stop at South Lake Union Park.

The Seattle Parks Foundation welcomes all to this public event, featuring fun, family activities, refreshments, and more! Kick off the holiday season by taking part in this Seattle tradition, and celebrating the future of South Lake Union Park!

Seattle Parks and Recreation has created an attractive and informative exhibit commemorating the centennial of the city's Olmsted park plan. The exhibit includes historic photographs and maps, historical information about the Olmsted Brothers landscape architecture firm, a description of the Olmsteds' comprehensive plan for Seattle's parks and boulevards, the implementation of the plan in the last century, and a glimpse at the future of park planning and development.

This is the final tour in the year-long series,and should not be missed! Green Lake Park is one of Seattle's favorite, most popular parks. It is certain to be a scenic and fun walk, a perfect finish to a year of walks in honor of the Olmsted Centennial.
