About Fresh Bucks
Fresh Bucks is a healthy food program that distributes monthly benefits to help Seattle neighbors afford fresh fruits and vegetables. Fresh Bucks is funded by the City of Seattle’s Sweetened Beverage Tax Fund and the General Fund, and administered by the Seattle Office of Sustainability & Environment.
Fresh Bucks Benefits
The Fresh Bucks program provides enrolled customers with a monthly benefit to purchase fruits and vegetables from farmers markets, farm stands, independent grocers, and supermarkets. Participants can spend their benefits on fruits and vegetables using their Fresh Bucks Card or app at participating retailers.
Fresh Bucks benefits have been extended for current customers through December 2024. We are automatically extending benefits for enrolled customers through 2024 as long as they use their monthly benefits. If customers do not use their benefits for three months in a row, they are subject to being removed from the program. Please review the program policies for more information.
If you or someone you know are interested in receiving Fresh Bucks, there will be an opportunity to express your interest via an online Fresh Bucks interest form. The interest form will take the place of our annual enrollment application. Income-eligible Seattle neighbors who submit an interest form will automatically be placed on a waitlist for Fresh Bucks benefits and will be notified of enrollment if budget becomes available. SNAP Match Programs
OSE works with local and regional partners to support the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) or food stamp incentive programs. SNAP Market Match and SNAP Produce Match help SNAP/EBT participants double their purchasing power when they shop at participating retailers.
