Marine Program - Engine One

About the Fireboat

Engine One provides speed and agility - and the back-up to ensure adequate coverage even when one of the other boats is in dry dock for annual maintenance. The fireboat was completed in 2006.

The 50-foot fast attack boat has the capacity to pump 5,000 to 6,000 gallons of water per minute and a top speed of about 30.5 knots.

Jensen Maritime Consultants, naval architects, designed the boat. Metalcraft, in Kingston, Ontario, built the vessel.
