Seattle Fire Department Activity Book:  A Resource for Teachers

This workbook consists of two educational levels.  Level 1 is for younger school age childrent and Level 2 is for older school age children.  Each level is divided into four chapters:

• Home Fire Safety
• Fire Safety Skills
• Injury Prevention
• Firefighters

With a clear protective cover and spiral binding, it is perfect for copying and sharing with your students and the workbook is yours to keep.

The Seattle Fire Department's Public Education Section has developed a fire safety education kit for use with children in grades 1-3.  Packed into a convenient suitcase, the lessons are suitable for a variety of learning styles.  Each lesson presented in the Safety Suitcase includes content and activities that meet a variety of learning styles and goals.  Lesson plans include:

• Escape planning
• Stop! Drop! and Roll!
• 911 is for Emergencies

The Safety Suitcase can be borrowed for two weeks at a time.  If you wish to borrow it, you must pick it up from, and return it to, the Fire Marshal's Office.
