The Washington State Legislature and the Washington State Building Code Council have adopted the codes listed below to comprise the Washington State Building Code for use throughout the state.
The City of Seattle City Council approved, and the Mayor signed City Ordinances adopting and amending the above codes in the Fall of 2007. Prior to that time, the 2003 version of these same codes were in effect. The mayoral appointed Fire Code Advisory Board, a fifteen member board confirmed by the Seattle City Council, spent more than a year reviewing the new fire code and Seattle’s proposed fire code amendments. |
