Ride-A-Long Policy

If you would like to schedule a Ride-A-Long with Paramedics or Firefighters, please review the requirements and request procedure below:

  1. You must be at least 18 years old.
  2. Write a letter of request and include the following:

        a.  A business reason why you would like to go on a ride along.
        b.  Date(s) that you would like to schedule the Ride-A-Long for.
            (at least 2 weeks out from the date you send the letter)
        c.  Whether you want to ride with Paramedics or a Fire crew.  (You may
             specify a particular station or unit that you would like to ride with
             but it is not required.)
  3. If your request is accepted and a ride-a-long is scheduled, you will be required to sign a Seattle Fire Department Release Form.
