Fire Station Tours

Tour Your Local Fire Station!

Tours of your local fire station are available upon request.  Station tours last approximately 20 minutes and include viewing the fire engine and fire fighting equipment, as well as talking to the firefighters about their job.

Tour Criteria

  • Fire Station tours may be scheduled between the hours of
10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. - Monday through Saturday. Evening tours are scheduled on an individual basis.
  • Please allow a minimum of two weeks in advance to schedule a community station tour. For educational programs involving school aged youth, preschools and day-care programs, a minimum of four weeks is required.
  • Minimum age for tour participants is 5 years. Preschools and day-cares are invited to participate in the Seattle Fire Department’s Smart Kids! Safe Kids! Preschool Program.
  • Group size must be 25 or fewer total participants (including children and chaperones). There must be 1 adult chaperone for every 5 children.
  • Fire stations remain "in-service" during tours. Fire companies may need to respond to emergencies at any time. If they do, it will be necessary for the tour to end and your group to exit the station. Please keep this in mind when visiting.
  • Birthday parties are not allowed on tours or to hold party festivities at the station.
