Some of the City’s labor agreements include cost-of-living increases based upon the year-to-year change in the June Seattle CPI-W. For financial planning purposes, the City Budget Office makes forecasts of this index twice each year.
Seattle CPI-W: 12 Months Ending in June
Some of the City’s labor agreements include cost-of-living increases based upon the growth rate of the Seattle CPI-W for the 12 month period ending in June. This represents an annual growth rate measured over the period July - June, rather than the calendar year January - December. For financial planning purposes, the City Budget Office makes forecasts of this index twice each year.
