Snow and Winter Weather Resources

Following are links to important resources that you may find useful in the event of a winter snow storm.

Take Winter by Storm was created to help Western Washington get prepared and stay informed when bad weather strikes. This website is sponsored by a partnership that includes King County, the City of Seattle, Puget Sound Energy and State Farm Insurance.

During a snow event, SDOT's main webpage will notice a change from everyday operations. When there is snow on the ground, SDOT's main webpage will turn into an up-to-the-minute snow removal operational update, including which routes have been treated, what the conditions are, key road closures and links to traffic cameras so you can see for yourself.

In preparation, you may also want to go to the SDOT WINTER WEATHER HOME PAGE.
