e-Filing with the Office of Hearing Examiner

In order to e-file an appeal or complaint with our office, you need to establish a user account with a valid e-mail address. To set up a new account or sign into an existing account, please continue on to our e-filing website. Please Note:

  • You will need to make arrangements with our office to pay the required filing fee either in-person or by phone.
  • Your appeal is not considered filed until we receive payment of the required filing fee.
  • Appeals are due by 5:00 PM on the last day of the filing period. Anything filed after 5:00 PM will be considered filed on the next business day, provided that the required filing fee has been paid.
  • If you cannot pay the filing fee due to financial hardship, please complete a waiver request form.

The Office of Hearing Examiner is a separate and independent office of the City created by the Seattle Municipal Code. The Office is charged with conducting fair and impartial administrative hearings, when authorized by the Code, to review the actions of various City departments.
