Frequently Asked Questions

Appeals are due by 5:00 p.m. on the last day of the filing period. Anything filed after 5:00 p.m. will be considered filed on the next business day, provided that the required filing fee has been paid.

If you cannot pay the filing fee, you will need to complete a form requesting a waiver of the filing fee and include documentation showing that the fee will cause financial hardship. Appeals that seek a fee waiver must be filed in person or by mail and must include a Request for Fee Waiver of Appeal Fee form, which is accessible from the link above, from the Office of Hearing Examiner, and on our website under "Forms and Fees". Our street address is 700 Fifth Avenue, Suite 4000, 40th Floor, in the Seattle Municipal Tower. Our mailing address is PO Box 94729, Seattle, WA 98124.

If you have any questions, call our office at (206) 684-0521, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
