Water Quality and Stewardship

Seattle has clean drinking water that comes from the Cedar River and Tolt River Watersheds. Access to these lands is restricted to maintain the pristine habitats there. Taking care of our water goes on in the city as well, from reducing surface water pollution, increasing natural drainage, planting more trees, restoring and maintaining urban creeks and much more. Residents have many ways they can help keep Seattle’s waterways clean and healthy.
