This plot shows amount of snow on April 1 from a hydrology model that covers only the Columbia River Basin east of the Cascades. Red means deep snow, blue/purple means little snow. As warming progresses, the lower elevations are no longer snow-covered, and even the Cascades and Rockies lose snowpack.
