Green Ribbon Commission

The Seattle Green Ribbon Commission will advise the Mayor and City Council on the development of a 2012 Seattle Climate Action Plan that reduces greenhouse gas emissions in a way that improves economic vitality and social equity. The Green Ribbon Commission’s primary charge will be to recommend strategies that forward the climate action agenda while advancing the interdependent goals of job creation, affordable housing, public health, and social equity in ways that enhance our quality of life.

The Green Ribbon Commission will meet six times between May and October 2012, delivering their recommendations to the Mayor and City Council in December.
