2005 Mayor's Small Business Awards

"Being nominated for the 2001 Mayor's Small Business Award was exciting, but winning was thrilling. Our customers were impressed, our suppliers took notice, and our employees were proud. It still provides motivation for Western Foil Corporation to excel. Dear Friend of Small Business:

Seattle's small businesses provide services, jobs, job training, gathering places, products, innovations and add a distinctive character to the communities they serve.

As in past years, the 2005 Awards will honor the diversity and excellence of small businesses in Seattle, and their contribution to the city's economic vitality and quality of life. Ten winners will be selected on the basis of excellence in management, business planning, marketing and community involvement. We invite you to participate!

Who can I nominate? Your own business, your exceptional small business clients, associates, suppliers or neighbors.

Are there eligibility requirements?
To be eligible to be nominated, the business must:

be a for-profit business or the owner must be an individual owning a small business;
be located within the Seattle city limits;
employ fewer than 100 employees;
have annual sales of less than $10,000,000;
have been in business for at least three years.

A current City of Seattle business license and currently paid City B&O taxes are required. Franchises and past winners of the Mayor's Small Business Awards are ineligible.

Prizes for Nominees: Prizes include a 2005 Mayor's Small Business Award Nominee window decal and your company name listed in an announcement in an ad in a major local newspaper.

Prizes for Winners: Prizes include box seats for a Mariners Game; a 2005 Mayor's Small Business Awards Winner window decal; a beautiful commemorative award; four complimentary tickets to a Mayoral reception honoring winners and past winners, and your company name listed in an announcement in an ad in a major local newspaper.
