Job Title: Deputy Director, Office of Economic Development
Location: Seattle Municipal Tower, 700 5th Ave., Seattle, Washington

Position Description: The Office of Economic Development is a Mayors Executive Office, responsible for assisting the Mayor and City Council develop, analyze and implement policies and programs that support the Citys economic development agenda. You will play a leadership role in setting and executing the strategic direction of OEDs programs, be responsible for direct supervision of staff and coordinate across City departments, government agencies and partner organizations. The Deputy Director, develops, promotes and manages relationships with business, community and government leaders. Acting as both a tactician and strategist, you will provide project management and strategic support to OEDs Director and staff in the execution of the departments programs to support a healthy and sustainable economy.

Qualifications: In addition to the qualities mentioned above, you will need to possess both of the below required qualifications (or a combination of education, training or experience which provides an equivalent background required to perform the work of the class):

- A Masters degree in public policy, public administration, planning, finance, economics, business, and/or related field.
- At least ten years of progressively responsible experience in business development, economic development, public policy or related fields.
- Experience supervising staff and matrix management.
