The City of Seattle, Department of Planning and Development, has issued a Request for Information (RFI) for an electronic plan submission and review system. DPD is exploring the possibility of implementing an electronic plan review system and recently completed a survey asking our customers for their input and suggestions.
The purpose of the RFI is to learn more about available vendors and systems before continuing with planning and potential implementation. The information gathered may also be used to develop a competitive Request for Proposal (RFP).
Minimum requirements for the system include the ability to submit plans electronically, route plans according to standard workflows, and mark-up plans electronically. For detailed requirements, see the complete RFI.
Responses to the RFI are due by January 30, 2009.
