Public involvement for the Shoreline Master Program (SMP) update is continuing with seven community visioning workshops in March. Seattle residents will have the opportunity to help shape the vision for the future of Seattle’s shorelines. Using input from these workshops, DPD will publish a Vision Report that will inform the SMP update.
Seven workshops will be held, one each for the various shoreline regions (Central Waterfront, Duwamish, Lake Union, Lake Washington, etc.). Although each workshop will mostly focus on issues specific to one region, there will also be opportunities to hear about the overall Shoreline Master Program update and to comment on other shoreline regions or city-wide shoreline issues. If you cannot attend a workshop at a location closest to you, please attend one in a different region.
