Adopted Changes to Stormwater, Grading, and Drainage Control Code

In a 9-0 vote on June 5th, City Council adopted the proposed amendments to the Stormwater Control regulations. In addition to the code amendments, Council added direction to the next phase of staff work and a commitment to revise the code in the near future. The Mayor signed the ordinance, and the new regulations will take effect on July 5.

Two new Draft Directors' Rules are available now for public review and comment, from June 16 through June 30.

1) Construction Stormwater Control Rule, DDR 16-2000: Details temporary erosion and sediment control technical requirements and plan submittal requirements for the same. This rule will supercede DR 6-93.

2) Source Control Rule, DDR 17-2000: Details structural and operational source control technical requirements.
