Uptown: Framework for the Future

Uptown Neighborhood Outline
We are developing a collaborative vision of Uptown that will guide growth and development towards a walkable, livable, healthy, and vibrant neighborhood.

Get Involved

Thank you to everyone who came to our Community Open House on November 7, and for sharing your opinion on the future of Uptown. Below is the information we discussed at the open house, as well as a comment form. We want to hear from everyone about what they want to see happen in Uptown, so please fill out a comment form and send it in to us.

Community Open House November 7, 2013

As we develop an Urban Design Framework for Uptown, we rely on public opinion to help us build a plan that preserves Uptown's character while helping it grow. The framework will guide City departments and private developers as they make investments in public infrastructure, neighborhood services, and development of new projects in the future.

Here are some of the questions we are asking:

  • Do you live, work, or play in Uptown?
  • What do you love about Uptown?
  • What do you wish was different?
  • How is Uptown connected to its neighbors?
  • How do you use the public spaces in Uptown? What would make you use them more?
  • What role does Seattle Center play in your Uptown experience?
  • What uses and/or services are missing or needed in the neighborhoods?
  • What questions are we missing?

Your input is critical in shaping the framework for Uptown's future. It's not too late to let us know what you want.
