Report on Public Engagement (March 2012)

December 2011 — Transform Seattle: Many Voices, One Future
In December of 2011, we held a workshop with over 100 people from the Somali, Ethiopian, Latino, Filipino, Chinese, and Cambodian communities in Southeast Seattle. We asked the workshop participants about their future transportation, housing, and energy needs in Seattle. We engaged in a dialogue about how to create better neighborhoods with more services and shops closer to home, how to work toward attractive and affordable housing choices, and the desire for safe and convenient public transportation systems.
