Capitol Hill Station Sites Planning
On September 26, 2013, the Sound Transit Board voted unanimously to authorize execution of a development agreement between the City and Sound Transit that will apply to the redevelopment of the Capitol Hill light rail station sites. This action followed the August 5th City Council approval of the development agreement as well as site-specific design guidelines that will supplement the Capitol Hill neighborhood design guidelines and apply only to the light rail station sites. The development agreement and site-specific design guidelines will help realize some of the redevelopment and design guidance outlined in the 2011 Urban Design Framework.
Our Urban Design Framework articulated the community's vision for the redevelopment of the five station sites, offering development and design guidance to the future developers of the station sites.
