Zoning Maps
Current zoning information on Seattle properties and neighborhoods is available from the online version of the DPD Map Books below, which is maintained by our GIS section. These maps also include parcel dimensions, plat changes, City landmarks and general information on environmentally critical areas (ECA), including whether the site falls under State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) protection. Special overlay layers include urban village boundaries, the 200' archealogical meander line overlay district, and 2,000' light rail overlay district. Additionally, a color-coded, bird's eye view of city-wide zoning is available in our City-wide zoning map (450kb PDF). See the Land Use Code for Zoning Classifications.

INSTRUCTIONS: To view a section of the map below, click on your area of interest. A PDF file will open and you can zoom in for more detail by clicking on the icon that looks like a magnifying glass with a "plus sign" in it. You may also click (and HOLD) the left mouse button in the top-left corner of the area of the map you want to zoom in on, then drag the mouse down-and-right to what you want to become the bottom-right corner of the selected area. To return to the map index use the "Back" button on your browser. The map files can take time to open, as they can be several megabytes in size.
