Notes on Data Comparability with 1990 and Derived Measures
The Census Bureau does not provide data or derived measures--medians, averages and other measures--for locally defined areas. Derived measures for these areas were estimated by the City of Seattle. The Census Bureau changed some questions between 1990 and 2000 making comparisons difficult. The race/ethnicity questions and categories were dramatically different making comparison difficult.
