The City sponsored an open house and public forum on January 29, 2004 (see agenda and invitation flyer) on ways to revitalize Seattle's University District by addressing public safety concerns, strengthening the business district, creating additional parks and open spaces and creating redevelopment opportunities. Held at University Heights Center, the open house featured presentation stations hosted by staff from the Department of Planning and Development, the Office of Economic Development, Department of Neighborhoods and the Seattle Office of Housing.
