As part of the City of Seattle’s Broadway Revitalization Strategy, the City Council has passed two ordinances reducing parking requirements and changing land use and zoning regulations in the Broadway district. The two ordinances were passed to improve the retail mix and create redevelopment opportunities. The changes are part of a larger strategy to revitalize Broadway--a strategy that includes providing storefront improvement grants, addressing public safety concerns, and changing land use and zoning regulations.
