Northeast Board Members

Tom Nelson
Position: Community Representative
Term: First
Term expires: April 4, 2009
 

Tom Nelson is a principal at Mithun. He brings 23 years of experience as an architect, planner and designer of major commercial, institutional, and public safety projects, with a focus on scientific research laboratory and civic buildings. He was a lead designer for the Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific. Tom is a nationally recognized expert in sustainable design and helped develop national sustainable design practices and standards. He is a licensed architect, LEED accredited professional, and former chair of the LA chapter of the US Green Building Council. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Kent State University.

 

Sue Jensen
Position: Design Professional Representative
Term: Second
Term expires: April 4, 2010
 



Sue is a landscape architect with a strong interest in open space, site and community design. Sue has over 25 years experience as a landscape architect on projects throughout the Northwest, and is currently working with the Community Planning division of Weber+Thompson, PLLC, with a focus on site design, sustainable development and project management. Ms. Jensen has a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Washington. She participates in local community projects and continuing education events through Seattle Public Schools, ASLA and the Urban Land Institute.

 

Shawna Sherman
Position: Development Representative
Term: Second
Term expires: April 4, 2010
 

Shawna is Director of Community Outreach at the Seattle chapter of the Urban Land Institute. She was project manager at A.F. Evans Development, where she managed both the construction and renovation of multi-family projects in Puget Sound. She earned a certificate in Commercial Real Estate from the University of Washington and a BA from Wellesley College.

 

Tricia Reisenauer
Position: Local Residential Representative
Term: First
Term expires: April 4, 2009
 

Tricia Reisenauer has 10 years of experience as an architect and is currently with LMN Architects, where she works on civic, cultural and commercial projects. Prior to LMN, Tricia worked for Mahlum Architects and TGB Architects, focusing on educational and religious buildings. She is a member of the AIA and a LEED accredited professional. She has also been active in the social justice community, volunteering for both Habitat for Humanity and serving on the board of her parish's social justice commission. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Oregon.

 

Craig Parsons
Position: Local Business Representative
Term: First
Term expires: April 4, 2009
 

Craig Parsons is a project manager for the Seneca Real Estate Group. His career has spanned both business and architecture. A licensed architect, he worked as a designer for ten years, including six managing his own architectural firm in Seattle, before turning to development and project management. He volunteers at the Ravenna Eckstein Community Center, helping plan playground improvements. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Arizona and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Washington.
