Early Design Guidance Packet
The City of Seattle's Design Review Board holds Early Design Guidance meetings to determine which of the City's Design Guidelines are most important for the project and its site.
Instructions
An applicant prepares an Early Design Guidance packet in advance of the Early Design Guidance review.
Information in an Early Design Guidance packet should include:
- statement of the development objectives for the site
- analysis of the urban design opportunities and constraints
- list of the City's design guidelines the applicant thinks are the most important for the project to address
- analysis of the site
- three feasible alternatives architectural concepts including a preferred concept and a code-driven alternative that are presented in the same graphic context
- potential standard development departures
All Early Design Guidance packets should be 11" x 17".
