Liz Martini |
|
![]() |
Liz grew up in the radiant, Eastern Washington desert. At the University of Washington, she enjoyed making prints and having perpetually inky hands until she received her BFA in Printmaking (1984). Over the past decade her inner printmaker has been reborn into the digital age as a graphic designer. The tools have changed; the process remains. But Liz misses having inky hands. |

Current
Chelsea Levy (MUP, MPA, University of Washington, 2008) helped to develop the initial street design alternatives for the section of South Lander Street that is adjacent to the Beacon Hill light rail station. She coordinated the design charrette to narrow the alternatives and developed graphic representations of the final alternatives based on community feedback. Additionally, Chelsea is updating the concept plan for green streets within the Denny Triangle. The plan identifies green street segments that are likely to be improved in the future and graphically represents how some of those improvements may look.
Noelle Higgins (MLA, University of Washington, 2007) helped create an inventory matrix that evaluates and inventorys the quality of streets and intersections included in that plan. The document is intended to assist in future discussions about street opportunity areas, both within City Design and interdepartmentally. She also completed a draft of the South Downtown area, and have seven more neighborhoods to go.
