This interior courtyard was created from space typically used for parking cars off the street. Extensive use of vines as "green walls" makes effective use of limited planting space, softening what would otherwise be hard building surfaces into an oasis for people. Other landscaping provides texture and human scale detailing that is attractive to pedestrians. The courtyard is maintained privately for the use of employees and residents in adjacent buildings, but is also open to the public. |
