  1. I have, or think I might have, Environmentally Critical Areas (ECAs) at my site. What do I do?
  2. How much does a Critical Area Exemption cost?

1 - Q. I have, or think I might have, Environmentally Critical Areas (ECAs) at my site. What do I do?
A. To obtain information about how the Environmentally Critical Areas regulations might affect the development of a property, you should visit our Applicant Services Center and speak with a land use planner. For some general information regarding environmentally critical areas, please review our Client Assistance Memos.

2 - Q. How much does a Critical Area Exemption cost?
A. A minimum of 1/2 hour at the DPD hourly rate. The DPD hourly rate is currently $155. The minimum fee is due at application intake. Time beyond the 1/2 hour is charged additionally, if extra time is needed to review the application. That fee is due at issuance of the exemption.
