Roosevelt Station

Review Status

In February 2015, we approved the design development of Roosevelt Station. Our approval included a condition that the design team continue to refine the public art and plaza and coordinate with SDOT on the design of NE 66th St. We don't anticipate the Light Rail Review Panel will conduct any further reviews of this station. Construction of the Northgate Link Extension — which includes U District, Roosevelt, and Northgate Stations — began in fall 2012.

Project Description

Located just west of 12th Ave NE in the Roosevelt neighborhood, the station will include a plaza with seating, public art, and bike parking.

Riders will board trains underground. Two entrance buildings at NE 65th Street and at NE 67th Street will include elevators, escalators, and stairs. Between the two station entries, NE 66th St is a designated Green Street.
